Information Collection & Sharing

  • The PTA does not sell or rent member information to anyone at anytime for any reason.

  • When you join the PTA, you become a member of the Sparks PTA, Maryland PTA and National PTA. The Maryland and National PTA organizations require us to share you name and email so that membership cards may be issued.

  • The Sparks PTA uses a secure, password protected third party site (Membership Toolkit) for its school directory. Family information is self-entered by a parent or guardian on the website and is used to generate the school directory. We ask for family names, adult emails, adult phone numbers, and the family mailing address. Students should not create an account on the website.

  • When you sign up for a volunteer opportunity your email address will be available to the program chair for the activity you have signed up to assist with so that they may contact you.


  • Online transaction processing is handled securely via PayPal. If you choose to use this service, you are subject to Paypal’s policies and practices.

  • PTA membership purchases are a once per year purchase of a single fee per parent/guardian (subject to change annually) and grant membership to the Sparks PTA, Maryland PTA, and National PTA.

  • Spiritwear purchases are through a third party storefront (Membership Toolbox) and are subject to their terms and services.

  • Yearbook purchases are through a third party (Lifetouch) are subject to their terms and services.

  • After school program and camp participation fees are governed by the policy of the organization who is delivering the program. These programs are not affiliated with the PTA in any way. Please contact the individual organization if you have any questions regarding these programs.
